DIDN'T COOL AT ALL, July 8, 2010 By This review is from: Friedrich Kuhl Series SM24M30 23,500 BTU Room Air Conditioner (Kitchen) I was very excited about getting this new model SM24M30. I was ready to spend the extra money because it is a lot of money. I got it and from the second it was installed it was defective. It could not cool down my room less than on average 78 degrees. Even at night time it would not cool the room down. It was almost the same degrees as outside. I called the store who said that I must deal with the manufacturer. I called Friedrich and they sent out a technician who agreed there was a problem but wasn't sure what it is. Friedrich still refused to exchange it. They wanted to send out a second technician who they 'trust' who just deals with their company. This person was a laughing stock. He tried to tell me that I should have to leave it on the whole day and it might cool a bit better, and a whole bunch of nonsense...He even blamed it on the oven which was on 3hrs earlier for 20 minutes in the adjoining room.
